Woman kills her mother-in-law with a hammer

New Delhi: In an accident that shook the locality of South Delhi, a woman brutally murdered her 55-year-old mother-in-law on Thursday following a heated argument with her. She was arrested on Friday after intense examination by the police proved that she had hit the victim twice on the head with a hammer.

A detailed questioning by the police proved to be the undoing for the accused, 25-year-old Rachna Dawar, who confessed that she was slapped by her mother-in-law Madhu on Thursday during a quarrel. After she had committed the murder, she hurriedly sacked the house to make it look like a robbery, inflicted wounds on herself with a kitchen knife, locked herself in her room, and made up a story of the murder to her husband, brother, and mother. She also bolted the house of her immediate neighbor from the outside to ensure that nobody could see the incident.

Police reports revealed that on Thursday evening the police had received a PCR call from the neighbors of the deceased saying there had heard some commotion coming from the victim’s house. When they reached the spot, the elderly woman Madhu was found lying in a pool of blood. She was rushed to AIIMS where she was declared brought dead. Rachna, who was found on the spot, had injuries on her left forearm and foot.

On being asked about the details of the crime the accused cooked up a story saying that a man had barged into the house, attacked her with a kitchen knife, and hit her mother-in-law on the head with a blunt object.  Rachna during the course of interrogations kept changing her story, which made the police suspicious of her role in the murder.

The police continued with their questioning after which Rachna broke down and admitted to her crime.

Major Scientific Study Examines Domestic Violence Among Gay Men

The American Journal of Public Health has published a detailed study of battering victimization in the male homosexual community (December 2002, Vol. 92, No. 12). The probability-based sampling of "men who have sex with men" (MSM) focused on four geographical areas (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York) and resulted in 2,881 completed telephone interviews.

Based on these responses, this first-of-its-kind study determined that the rate of battering victimization among gay men in the target group (men over 18 who had engaged in homosexual activity since age 14, or who identified as gay, homosexual, or bisexual) is "substantially higher than among heterosexual men" and also possibly higher than the rate for heterosexual women, according to the study.

The researchers report a high rate of battering within the context of intimate homosexual partnerships, with 39% of those studied reporting at least one type of battering by a partner over the last five years.
In contrast, only about 7.7% of heterosexual men of all ages report physical or sexual partner abuse during their entire lifetimes. (Lifetime rates of abuse are generally higher than those within a five-year period.)

Figures were also compared with studies on heterosexual women who had been victims of violence within marriage or while cohabiting with men, also within five-year periods. Victimization for homosexual men (22%) was also substantially higher than for heterosexual women (11.6%).

The study, conducted by researchers with the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (University of California, San Francisco), Whitman-Walker Clinic (Washington, D.C.) and Prevention Research Center, School of Social Work (University of Washington, Seattle), examines three specific types of gay male-to-gay male assault: psychological/symbolic battering (verbal threats, ridicule in front of others, forced substance abuse, destruction of property, stalking), physical battery, and sexual battery (forced sexual activity).

Demographic information collected included each respondent's age, educational level, race/ethnicity, employment status, income, sexual self-description (gay, homosexual, bisexual, etc.), HIV status, and city of residence.

The research interviews covered the most recent five years of the respondents' lives, revealing that, within that time frame, 34% of the urban males interviewed had been victims of psychological/symbolic abuse, 22% had been physically victimized, and 5.1% had experienced sexual abuse. Overall, 39.2% reported one or other type of battering, of which 18.2% reported being victimized by more than one type of battering over the five-year period.

In terms of personal statistics concerning the victims, it was found that homosexual males age 40 or younger were much more likely to be the victim of abuse by a same-sex partner than those age 60 or over. Those with graduate and professional degrees were also less likely to be the target of such violence than men with a college degree or lower.

Men infected with the AIDS virus were more at risk for psychological and physical abuse than their HIV-negative peers. HIV-infected men were also more likely to be victimized in a sexual manner.
According to the study, none of the battering outcomes appeared associated with racial or ethnic identity, income level, self-described sexual orientation, or the city of residence.

The study states that the most significant factor in male same-sex partner violence is age: a 3.8% rate for 18-29 year olds, 3.9% among those between the ages of 30 and 39, and 2.7% in the 40-49-age bracket. Men under the age of 40 were found to be six times more likely to report abuse than those 60 or older, with subjects between 40 and 50 being four times as likely.

The conclusion arrived at by the researchers, based upon these figures, is that the rate of abuse between urban homosexual men in intimate relationships "is a very serious public health problem."

Father: Devin Juan Wilkes was arrested for trying to strangle his wife and throwing their baby on the ground

Father: Devin Juan Wilkes was arrested for trying to strangle his wife and throwing their baby on the ground

A mother who was being attacked by her boyfriend with a knife held up their one-year-old son to act as a human shield, police say.

Devin Juan Wilkes, 24, from Jacksonville, Florida, was beating his 22-year-old girlfriend with his fists before picking up a knife.

When Sheena Hunter grabbed their son in the hope he wouldn't attack his own child, Wilkes allegedly threw the baby face first on to the floor and continued to attack the victim.

He then allegedly yelled: 'You made me hit my son, now you're going to die' as he choked the woman.

He is now behind bars on $500,000 bail for the December 9 incident on charges of aggravated assault, child abuse, battery and felony domestic battery.

Police said the couple - who have been together two years - started arguing as Miss Hunter took a bath and Wilkes started punching her in the face.

When she ran to the bedroom he came after her with a knife and that is when she grabbed their son from his crib feeling he 'would not stab her if their child was in between them'.

After throwing the baby on the floor, Wilkes allegedly threw his girlfriend on the bed and choked her until the telephone rang.

'You made me hit my son, now you're going to die'

He then fled and Miss Hunter called police, according to the Florida Times Union.

Paramedics checked the baby, who did not require hospital treatment while the mother refused treatment.

On Monday, police found Wilkes hiding in the closet of the home and arrested him.

Duval County jail and court records show this is Wilkes' third domestic-violence arrest in three years. He served 16 days in jail in 2009 and got a year probation in 2008. Online records didn't indicate the name of the victim.

Anti-Violence Activist Beats Up Woman

It's better to practice what liberals preach, because only an imam would be barbaric enough to preach what some of them practice. For example, the "prime mover" of We Stop the Killings can't always be sermonizing about the evils of violence; sometimes he has to let off a little steam by pounding on women in front of babies:

Warren Jackson was charged with a misdemeanor count of domestic battery, said the Cook County State's Attorney's office.
Tinley Park Police were called to the Burlington Coat Factory at about 8:23 p.m. Jan. 21 after another shopper reported walking out of the store and seeing a man hitting a woman inside a car parked in the fire lane in front of the store, according to a police report.
The shopper reported seeing the man remove a toddler from the car and put him back in the front passenger seat of the vehicle before turning around from the driver's seat and punching a woman in the back seat, police said. The shopper told police she ran inside to call for help and when she exited again the car had relocated to a different part of the parking lot where the man continued to attack the woman, police said.

When the cops arrived,

The child was sitting in the front seat of the car without a child's safety seat, and the woman was in the back seat of the car with cuts on her face, police said.

Warren has had trouble with the law before:

Jackson is the subject of a lawsuit filed by Attorney General Lisa Madigan's office Dec. 2 seeking to shut down the Chicago-based organization We Stop the Killings, saying it is operating illegally while soliciting charitable donations.
The lawsuit seeks to stop Jackson and five others associated with the organization's website, westopthekillings.org, from managing a charitable organization in Illinois. The suit says the group solicited donations and falsely claimed the money would fund efforts to curb youth violence in Chicago.

Corruption, deception, hypocrisy, and bogus sanctimony in the city that gave us the Moonbat Messiah? Please say it isn't so.
