The last decade has seen major changes in the American radical right. What was once a world largely dominated by a few relatively well-organized groups has become a scene populated by large numbers of smaller, weaker groups, with only a handful led by the kind of charismatic chieftains that characterized the 1990s.

At the same time, there has been explosive growth in several sectors of the radical right, especially in the last few years, much of it driven by anger over the diminishing white majority (the Census Bureau has predicted that non-Hispanic whites will fall to less than 50% of the population by 2050) and the severe dislocations caused by a still-ailing economy.

An anti-Muslim movement, almost entirely ginned up by political opportunists and hard-line Islamophobes, has grown enormously since taking off in 2010, when reported anti-Muslim hate crimes went up by 50%. During the same time frame, a number of religious-right anti-gay groups, enraged and on the defensive as swelling majorities of Americans drop their opposition to same-sex marriage and other LGBT rights, have grown extraordinarily vicious in their propaganda.

Most dramatically, so-called “Patriot” groups — which, unlike most hate groups, see the federal government as their primary enemy — have grown explosively in just the last three years, going from 149 groups in 2008 to 1,274 last year. As a result of all these developments and others, a new crop of leaders has come to the fore.

Some are longtime activists of the radical right, but others have become active only in recent years. What follows is an alphabetized series of short profiles of key men and women activists of the radical right — 30 to watch. [...]

Although he’s sometimes identified in the mainstream media as a mere “legal adviser” or “community organizer,” Malik Shabazz is a racist black nationalist with a long, well-documented history of violently anti-Semitic remarks and accusations about the inherent evil of white people. He is also particularly skilled at orchestrating provocative protests. Ousted from the Nation of Islam after he became an embarrassment even to that hard-line group, Shabazz went on to take up the leadership of the New Black Panther Party.

The New York Times is Dying

Selling their souls to cultural marxism led them to this.

The New York Times Company reported yesterday that their fourth quarter earnings slid 12.2 percent, as the continued decline in print advertising more than offset revenue gains in circulation and digital advertising.

Net income was $58.9 million, or 39 cents a share, compared with $67.1 million, or 44 cents a share, in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 2.8 percent, to $643 million in the quarter

Overall advertising revenue declined 7.1 percent in the fourth quarter, with print being down 7.8 percent and digital 4.9 percent, largely owing to a huge 25.9 percent decline of the company’s About.com web property.

The company continues to be affected, not just by a slow economy in general, but also by the tepid housing market, as real estate classified advertising dropped by 17.3% in the quarter. With no real recovery in sight, it is likely that these numbers will only get worse in the near future, putting even more pressure on the company’s bottom line.

One area where the company saw some growth was in their News Media Group, which includes The New York Times, The Boston Globe and The International Herald Tribune. Digital advertising was actually up by 5.3 percent and circulation revenue by 4.7 percent, driven by the growth of online subscriptions at The Times.

The company is still searching for a replacement for CEO Janet L. Robinson, who resigned from her post in December, but with a less than rosy outlook for the print side of the business, it won’t be easy to find someone who can both save the newspaper and get along with the Sulzberger family at the same time.

Barbarism Comes from the Left

Barbarism comes from the Left. Socialism always leads to death and destruction – every time it is forced upon a society.

Socialist created barbarism is again rearing its evil head on the streets of Great Britain. The rioters are attacking and destroying symbols of Capitalism -- the products of personal hard work, including small businesses and family homes.

Socialism teaches that what others have earned is rightfully owed to those who do not care to exert the necessary effort to earn it by their own hard labors. The looters are stealing from private business and destroying what they cannot carry. Fire is a favorite destructive tool of those who are attacking and destroying that which is not theirs.

Arson, as recently as 1970, was confirmed to still be a capital offense in Great Britain. Arsonists were eligible for hanging. It seems British law no longer has a stomach for defending private property and innocent people. The discussions have descended to the level of whether or not to even use plastic bullets and water cannons.

Whatever happened to live ammunition? Shooting looters and arsonists on sight is how civilized societies once kept the wanton barbarism of the undisciplined in check.

A depraved and degenerate society gives the benefit of the doubt to criminals and punishes those who would dare to defend themselves. The British people have long since been disarmed by their nanny state government and would probably be jailed if they were to harm a rioting hooligan in self-defense.

The Left creates dependency which leads to anger and despair. The Left establishes an entitlement mentality in society, which leads to the resentment and hatred of those who dare to work hard and to achieve. The nanny government uses legalized theft to take the money and personal property of those who have the gumption to work and to use it to provide goods and services to able-bodied people who are too lazy to provide for themselves.

We see similar eruptions of barbarism in the United States. J. Christian Adams wrote:

"Consider the Wisconsin State Fair last week. The 911 tapes reveal a nightmare. “We’re outside the Wisconsin State Fair and there’s a white guy being beaten up by about 100 black people,” the panicked caller cries. “They’re jumping on our cars. . . . My mom just got attacked by a black mob.” Multiple eyewitnesses describe white fairgoers being pulled from cars and beaten by the Mob, all black. The evidence establishes a strong presumption that race was a motivating factor in the attacks. This is America?"

The Left stokes the fires of greed, hatred, and resentment by forcibly removing societal religious foundations. Without the fixed moral compass of the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule, people descend into barbarism.

Leftism as a Religion

Liberals become easy to understand and predict once you realize that leftism is a political religion for those who are ostensibly irreligious. It fulfills the desire for a transcendent purpose and ultimate destiny in liberals that religion fulfills in others. (If you haven't realized this already, just watch some aging hipsters swaying in ecstasy to John Lennon's "Imagine" at a Democrat rally sometime).

To you or me, the idea that you're going to achieve a better-run or more just world by placing absolute power with no accountability into the hands of a select few completely defies reason, common sense, and everything we know about human nature and the corrupting influence of power, and has probably been more thoroughly refuted by history than any other idea.

Additionally, the idea that a handful of people could have the knowledge and the capability to competently micromanage the lives of hundreds of millions of people is self-evidently absurd.

But liberals are able to suspend their disbelief when it comes to the government, because they are driven by religious longing. In their religion, the government plays the role of God, and is the key to achieving utopia (ie secular heaven) through social engineering. In reality, the government is just a collection of corruptible people like you and me, but liberals deify it in their minds, and attribute to it the same traits that we attribute to God: omnipotence, omniscience, and benevolence.

So, for instance, liberals are horrified by private insurance corporations having the choice to refuse to take a loss by insuring those with preexisting conditions (even though you can go to a different insurance company, or try to raise money yourself), but they're happy as clams about the government having the ability to deny you treatment outright.

This is contradictory, but it's understandable once you realize that in their minds, government bureaucrats are automatically selfless, wise, just, and dedicated to "equality" in all that they do, just by virtue of being part of the all-knowing, all-loving government.

Leftists continually push for a more authoritarian government because their religious fervor blinds them to the fact that it's just a bunch of regular fallen humans at the helm and nothing more, and because their religious system requires government power to engineer society in order to bring about leftist heaven (aka "utopia" aka "social justice" aka "human brotherhood" aka "progress" aka "equality").

That's what makes leftism a particularly dangerous religion. For Christians, our heaven is not of this world, and we are able to separate politics and religion to a significant degree (for instance, Christ's admonition to "give unto Caesar what is Caesar's"). Our only religious imperative with regards to unbelievers is to share the Word with them.

For liberals, on their other hand, politics *is* religion, and to bring about their heaven, they believe they must use the authoritarian state to coerce and re-engineer humanity into their idea of perfection.

And since their idea of perfection is impossible to achieve and things never operate according to their plans, they are always desperate for greater and more centralized power in the belief that it will finally give them what they need.

Leftism is similar to Islam in that both require coercive political action in this world to bring the rest of humanity into line, so it's not surprising that these are the two religions with the highest body counts.

Israel's Liberal Fifth Column Bankrolled by Terrorists

An independent investigation by the grassroots student group Im Tirtzu revealed that Israeli leftist groups receive money from Arab pro-terror organizations, Ma'ariv reports. The study connects the dots between 13 Israeli leftist groups — including B'Tselem and the Center for Protection of the Individual ('Hamoked') — and a Ramallah-based fund called the National Development Center (NDC), which is closely linked to a fund called the Welfare Association (WA). The WA, in turn, receives some of its money from the Al Aqsa Fund, which also gives money to the relatives of "martyrs" who carried out suicide attacks against Israelis.

The NDC gave a total of about two million dollars to 13 Israeli groups in 2008-2009 alone, the new research reveals. The largest donations were to Hamoked, which received $450,000, and B'Tselem, which got $400,000. The NDC, founded 2006, is officially funded by the governments of Switzerland, Sweden, Holland and Denmark. However, its website also says that its assets, systems and team of founders came from the WA. NDC's headquarters are based in Ramallah, and its directors are all from the Palestinian Authority. Five of the 13 board members are also representatives and members of the WA in Ramallah, which receives money from the Islamic Investment Bank, Arab countries hostile to Israel and the Al Aqsa Fund.

Israel's Foreign Minister, Avigdor Liberman stirred a huge controversy when his party, Israel Beiteinu, last week introduced a motion in the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset, to investigate the funding of a number of Israeli human rights organizations that are suspected to participate in delegitimization campaigns against IDF soldiers. According Israel Beiteinu representative Fania Kirshenbaum, one of these organizations went into schools to convince the students that joining the IDF is unethical. Other members of Knesset said this motion is a "shame on the Knesset," a way to stifle opposition, and a danger to the Israeli democracy.

Funding transparency is a danger to democracy. Sounds like someone has plenty to hide.
